In this talk, Nico will be introducing React Native and using that baseline knowledge to setup and build a RN application using Expo, a platform to quickly build and deploy RN apps!
React Native is a framework for building native Android and iOS applications using React and Javascript. RN provides developers with cross-platform components that utilize each platform’s native components behind the scenes.
React Native allows us to use all the familiar features of React such as JSX, components, props, state, and hooks for native application development.
What is Expo for React Native?
Expo is a framework and a platform for universal React applications. It is a set of tools and services built around React Native and native platforms that help you develop, build, deploy, and quickly iterate on iOS, Android, and web apps from the same JavaScript/TypeScript codebase.
